I'm curious....I thought we had 4 hours to make a pick. Scotty skipped me at exactly 3 hours (one minute before blackout), then 5 more picks were made during the blackout?
I appreciate the help you guys give me, but I didn't get notice that it was my pick this time, and no notice til after a 6th pick was made this morning. I think I deserve some sort of compensation but I'm not sure what you can do. - Baltimore
Sorry you got skipped. The 4 hour rule was only for the first three rounds. It was posted on both the discussion thread, draft thread and ticker that it was three hours. Scotty waited 3 hours and one minute. You were late by well over three and even four hours. Bill does a great job of trying to contact people when it's their turn and I believe he tried to contact you but there was no response. Feel free to send a list in next time you will be away for such a long time and someone can enter your pick for you. Otherwise, there is not much we can do. I will be gone this weekend and plan on sending a list in to more than one people to pick from. Nothing we can really do beyond what was done. Good luck.

Wow, and yet another birthday. Happy birthday Dude, I'd wish you second place like I wished for Scotty, but there's no need for that because I think you'd be thrilled with a third or fourth place finish. Have a good one.

I'll just try to keep first place warm for you guys again this year until September rolls around.

Guys, regarding my Ibanez pick. I knew that Baltimore's 3 hour limit was going to be up at 9:59pm pdt the other night (12:59am out here in the east), and I actually stayed up late (doing other fantasy baseball stuff of course) to see if his pick would be entered. If it wasn't, and I knew this was one minute before the blackout period began, then I wanted to get my pick in because as I saw it, it was kind of a pivotal pick for me since a lot of the big bats had gone already and I still needed one. So once the 3 hours had gone by I was ready to submit, and I believe I was within the rules to do that. Nothing against Baltimore, I just wanted to get Ibanez at that point and not chance it to the morning.

Ugh decisions, decisions these are the pivotal picks. I feel like Im reaching because the guys I want aren't gonna make it 20 more picks back around to me I dont think.

So Oklahoma, were those Lindstrom and Konerko picks your big pivotal picks. With 3 picks remaining in the 12th round until it gets back to you, did the other guys you were considering get nabbed? You were "ugh'ing" over the fact that the guys you wanted wouldn't be around for your next pick. I like those 2 picks there. Lindstrom and Konerko don't seem like big stretches at this point in our draft.

Hey guys, with all the big keeper rounds coming up, which I anticipate we'll be reaching at some point today (Sunday), here's a list of the upcoming picks in rounds 14-18. I've omitted the keeper slots. Pay attention because your pick may come quickly since so many slots in Rounds 15-18 are filled with keepers.

Hey, if we can get Welly's 15.4 pick tonight, we could get through a quick round 16 (4 picks) and 17 (2 picks) and into the 18th round. After Welly is Rogues, Old Skool, Bensalem, then Kadillacs for 2 and back to me for 2.

Thats weird. I tried to put in Chris the OF from Cinn. and it keeps changing the beginning part of his last name. Strange. Well I hope everyone understands who I mean.

Yeah, I think it's a filter that sees the first part of his last name D-I-C-K and it puts in thingy. haha! I tought you did it on purpose and had to look through the Reds roster to find out who you meant. I will see if I can edit it and put the right name in.

That's exactly what happened with D-i-c-k-erson. I have him in another league we're drafting on proboards and the Commish had to modify something to accept the last name.

Josh Fields was Seattle's top pick last year. They say he could be a closer sometime down the road. They interviewed him the other night on MLB Network's 30 Clubs in 30 Days with the Mariners. He's probably not in the Yahoo database, but it's a legitimate pick. Maybe a bit early in the draft, but a good pick. Time will tell.

I'm not too worried about the Yahoo database, but when I didn't see him in baseball-reference.com I got a little worried. Thanks and good luck to Sesame on the pick.

As people are finishing up the draft, all of the action will move to the Yahoo fantasy baseball site. I will be busy building everyone's roster. I will give 24 hour notice that our league will go "live". Going "live" means that players that were not drafted will be on the waiver wire and will become free agents within a day or two(?). Keep in mind, people that drafted players that are not in the Yahoo database, MUST keep a roster slot open for them. If you pick up a player in their place, that is akin to dropping that non-Yahoo player. Also, when you do decide to drop a player that is not in the Yahoo database, please announce it in the league message board, so I can update my records. I will provide a list on our Yahoo league site of all the non-Yahoo players. I will continue maintaining the players taken thread(s) until the draft is over. Good luck. Any questions, please don't hesitate to email me.
